With that, she transformed into a wisp of smoke and vanished within the palace.

Outside the city, Qi Yu and Li Mingjue were still roaming about in that underground palace.
With the faint light of a candle, they carefully examined the place.
"Apart from being able to tell that this place was once a palace and might have held people captive, there are no other clues," they said as they exited the palace along the staircase. Qi Yu patted the dirt off her body and silently shook her head.
Li Mingjue glanced at the sky and didn’t continue the conversation. Instead, he said, "It’s getting dark. We should head back to the city."
Qi Yu nodded, "Okay, this city is eerily strange. We better leave this wilderness quickly."
