Mo Zili looked at that indifferent departing figure, frowning as he spoke to the maid, "Pack it up, I won’t eat!"
Yingyu cautiously said, "Young Master, you haven’t eaten anything since yesterday noon. Please take care of your health!" Mo Zili gave her a cold glance and said, "Are you the master or am I the master? Since when does a maid get to comment on whether the master eats or not?"
Seeing her master’s gloomy face, Yingyu quickly bowed and apologized, "I overstepped, please forgive me, Young Master!" Then, she hurriedly called the little maids in to clear the table.
Mo Zili looked at the empty table, feeling very stifled.
She wasn’t home yesterday, which dampened his appetite. He kindly intended to wait for her to come home to dine together for dinner. Unexpectedly, Wanqing showed up and they ended up arguing. This morning, he woke up before dawn and asked someone to prepare the light porridge and dishes she liked, hoping to please her, but she didn’t even bother to glance at him, which really made him angry to death!
While moping, he suddenly heard Xiang Yun’s voice.
Looking up, Mo Zili saw that Xiang Yun had changed into new clothes—a dress with an ancient smoke pattern and a skirt decorated with grouped butterflies among blossoms and misty phoenix tails. It complemented her tender white skin, very pleasing to the eyes. However, this outfit wasn’t typical home wear.
He asked, "Are you going out?"
"Yes, the Empress has summoned me," Xiang Yun replied succinctly.
