Chapter 342 Rewards?
Around the time Esdeath rushed for the castle a woman with short blonde hair witnessed the messenger get split in two. People rushed away and she too lingered a few blocks away from the location to avoid the attention of the attacker.
'Crazy... She wasn't supposed to be in the city today.' Leone thought her hand shaking slightly. Goosebumps covered her body as a sense of danger like never before washed over her.
'Maybe we need to call off today's mission. But, where is Akame? She was supposed to be here by now.' Leone had been waiting for a while but her friend didn't show up. With each passing second she couldn't suppress the uneasiness in her heart.
As for her friend...
"Who are you?" Adam asked the black-haired girl.
"Ah... well... can I eat this?" She asked pointing at the meat of the grill.
'That doesn't answer anything, does it?'
He was grilling some meat in the garden while Esdeath got done with her things, but when he entered the house to get some cutlery he returned to a girl standing by the grill. Her eyes locked onto the meat taking in the aroma that made her mouth water.
"Can I...?" Her eyes shined with the innocence of someone eager to try food. Like facing a Cat that comes to your balcony and locks onto the fish on the table.
