Chapter 272: Speechless Once Again
"I am sorry that I forgot about the contract, Lord Adam!"
Albedo made a big mistake. She truly hated her past self for putting her through this.
He must be so disappointed in her for taking so long to realize and apologize for her mistake. If she could, she'd immediately fall at his feet the moment she understood things. But several things stopped her from doing so. It took her the entire day to muster up the courage to walk to his doorstep in order to break into the subject.
"..." Hearing no reply her heart sank further.
But the silence didn't last very long.
"So, that was it?" His sigh confused her.
"B-But Lord Adam..." Albedo understood that he didn't think much of it, but she didn't want to take this offense so lightly. His forgiving nature was one of the parts she loved about him, but she couldn't let her mistake be forgiven that easily. But, her tries fell on deaf ears.
"If you forgot about the contract you could've just asked me. You shouldn't get so worked up over that." Adam walked up to her and offered her his hand, "Come now stand up."
'He is so kind!!! I just can't~!!!!!' If not for Adam standing in front of her, she would be rolling around the carpet indignantly. But, she composed herself and took his hand. Pulled back to her feet she could see his smile from up close and looked away instantly.
