Chapter 1378: Chaos

The Devilish Monarch was hovering in mid-air with his hands clasped together in a seal, and spatial law powers were surging out of his body, while eighty-one black spikes were hovering before him, giving off a faint glow.
All of a sudden, he thrust his palms forward, and the eighty-one black spikes instantly shot forward before vanishing into the space up ahead.
In the next instant, a burst of thunderous rumbling rang out, and all of the black spikes had transformed into massive pillars around the chaotic vortex, forming a spatial array that sealed the vortex at its center.
A clear layer of spatial cracks appeared around the array, as if someone had forcibly dug out that expanse of space and severed its connection with the rest of the world to form an independent space.
This was similar to how the Devil Realm had been created, but at the time, the power of the entire devil race had been called upon to achieve that monumental feat.
Even though this was an array that had been created using the Devilish Monarch's power alone, the space that was isolated was far smaller than the Devil Realm, so his individual power was sufficient.
Gu Huojin immediately realized what the Devilish Monarch's intentions were, and he sneered, "You have the right idea, trying to isolate me and the array from the rest of the world, but it's not going to work this time."
He spread a hand open as he spoke to reveal an ancient rune on the palm, following which he pointed a finger at one of the eighty-one pillars around him.
A pillar of radiant, golden light erupted out of the rune, reaching the pillar that it was aimed at in the blink of an eye.
However, before the pillar of golden light was able to strike its target, the Reincarnation Palace Master abruptly appeared in its path, then raised a hand to conjure up a ring-shaped, dark red light barrier.
