Chapter 1344: Inevitable
Inside a floating, golden palace somewhere in the Heavenly Court.
There were countless bursts of energy swirling around the palace, pulverizing everything in the surrounding area to give the entire space a rather ethereal appearance.
The golden palace was very vibrant in color, but it possessed no aura of opulence. Instead, it resembled an antiquated daoist temple.
The palace gates were tightly shut, and dull thumps were ringing out within it incessantly, while the entire palace occasionally trembled, further exacerbating the unrest in the nearby space.
Right at this moment, the commotion in the golden palace abruptly subsided, and its gates swung open as none other than Gu Huojin flew out from within.
Beyond the gates was a vast, golden space with no end in sight, and there also seemed to have been no ground, as if this were someplace in the heavens.
Hovering within the golden space were numerous orbs the size of houses, and they were flashing with lights of different colors as if they were stars in the sky.
The gates quickly swung shut, following which Gu Huojin swept a sleeve through the air to summon a yellow scroll, on each end of which was engraved an ornate, golden dragon.
The pair of miniature dragons sprang to life at his behest, biting onto the two ends of the scroll before unfurling it to reveal a list of names that were giving off lights of different colors and degrees of brightness.
Near the top of the list was a name that had turned completely gray, and it belonged to none other than Xuanyuan Jie.
"Someone has managed to slay Xuanyuan Jie," Gu Huojin remarked to himself as two beams of golden light shot out of his eyes toward Xuanyuan Jie's name on the scroll.
