Chapter 1205: Retreat
"You can be proud of yourself for forcing me this far. Now, it's time for you to die!" Chi Meng declared in a cold voice.
Her eyes had transformed into two radiant orbs of red light that seemed to have boundless seas of fire burning within it, and in the next instant, countless golden flower petals detached themselves from the giant flower behind her to fill the entire sky.
The temperature around her spiked drastically, to the point that even the air itself was being incinerated, while the surrounding earth was rapidly melting away into more molten lava.
Han Li's expression remained unchanged as he condensed his own spirit domain to encompass an area of only several hundred feet around him, following which the moon above his head began to revolve at his behest, while a storm of golden sand rose up from the mountain range below.
Immediately thereafter, the forest on the mountains began to rustle incessantly, while the river of time and the specks of fiery starlight in the sky rose up and descended, respectively, converging toward one another.
The golden flower petals that were hurtling toward Han Li were able to burn through space, thereby granting them incredible speed, but as soon as they flew into his time spirit domain, they immediately slowed down to a crawl, following which they began to disintegrate bit by bit.
The short distance of only several hundred feet somehow proved to be an insurmountable obstacle for these golden flower petals, and with each agonizing inch that they managed to advance, a bit more of their power would be stripped away.
By the time the flower petals finally reached Han Li, all that remained of them were tiny specks of light that resembled feeble fireflies.
"Impossible!" Chi Meng exclaimed in incredulity.
From her perspective, it looked as if Han Li's spirit domain had slowly whittled away the power of her flames, but in reality, what had happened was that the flames had simply been reverted back in time to their initial form by the power of his Five Elemental Illusory World.
All external objects that entered the Five Elemental Illusory World would be rejected by the immense time law powers within, forced to revert back to their initial state.
