Chapter 1168: Animosity
Liu Le'er was very happy to see that Han Li wasn't opposed to the idea, and she quickly led him to an entrance to the cluster of buildings.
"Young Mistress Le'er!"
Four guards clad in suits of azure armor were standing at the entrance, and they extended a collective respectful bow at the sight of Liu Le'er.
Han Li was quite pleased to see this.
The four guards were all at the mid or late-Golden Immortal Stage, yet they were still treating Liu Le'er with a high degree of respect, and that told him that Liu Le'er possessed quite a lofty status in the Heavenly Fox Tribe.
Liu Le'er paid no heed to the four guards as she eagerly rushed toward the entrance, displaying remnants of the energetic little girl she had been during her time with Han Li in the Spirit Domain Realm.
Han Li was just about to follow along when the four guards extended their weapons to block his path.
"Stay back!"
Han Li's brows furrowed slightly as he stopped in his tracks.
"What do you think you're doing?" Liu Le'er asked as she turned around with a cold expression.
The guard with the highest cultivation base of the four cupped his fist in a salute toward Liu Le'er as he explained, "Forgive us, Young Mistress Le'er, but this fellow daoist is not a Heavenly Fox being, so if he wants to enter our settlement, then he'll have to secure permission from Elder Mu."
