Chapter 33: Void
"You saw... nothing!"
Sylvaine screamed as she turned off the video, her face was as red as a beetroot and her breathing grew heavy.
She could feel her heart beating fast, to cool off, she submerged her head halfway into the bathtub.
"I was wondering what took you so long to call me..."
Her voice screamed of insecurity and embarrassment, the scream was so loud that even the dense Leo could tell.
"I'm sorry. I just got my phone, and you were the only person I had a contact number for."
Leo answered, sitting on the floor of the van, unable to get the image of Sylvaine's naked body out of his head.
He stood up and opened the window, letting the breeze wash over his face.
"How are the things going in America?"
Even though the start of their conversation was rather uncomfortable, she wanted to continue it, if only for a bit longer.
"They are pretty difficult, we are preparing to take on the Hydra gate media keeps talking about. I hope the gates aren't as hard back home."
