Jake right now stood up with trembling legs as he in a horrid expression pointing his trembling index finger at him as he looked at him as if he seen ghost.

Max, who sees Erza’s weird state, wanted to investigate it when he heard the accusatory question tone of Jake, gaining his attention.
It took him just a moment to understand what actually happened.
This is nothing but Jake not understanding why he is still alive as according to the plot he should have been killed by Rickie in a bar this morning.
Him being a rebirth stream should have known this information, Maybe that’s why he is even here to see the expressions on Ashley and Layla’s face when they learn the news about his death.
Jake is not from Rickie’s plot but him being reborn makes sense as the plot happens first, He just comes back in the past to change his ending, Which also explains his question of is two plot sync or not.
The thing which not make sense however is why the fuck this dumbass stood up and point a finger at him, openly asking about something to his knowledge Max has no iinformation about.
Like can’t he think simple cause should be butterfly effect as this guy is here for a while, even the tiniest action of his affecting the plot-.

When Max was criticizing Jake it hit him, This bastard is rebirth, So there is no mention of him in the original plot meaning the plot he has in mind can’t be trusted anymore.
