" what do you know about the crimson veil?" Kenji said, his voice drifting into seriousness, as his words fell hard like a hammer hitting the ground.
Evelyn frowned at this question Immediately. The people that had come here to harrassed her were from the crimson veil, could it be possible that they had revealed the connection she had with them?
" Why are you asking me that?" She said, calculating her words to make sure she doesn’t speak and blabber everything out.
" Because I just angered them for you, and besides I think I’m on their kill list, so I need as much information about them as I can get. But if you know nothing about them, then there’s no need to wrack your brain. Though, I highly doubt that, as it seemed they had come for you," Kenji explained, his words dripping with uncalculated truth.
She wanted to deny having anything to do with them, but hearing his words, she knew that she had been exposed.
She had to have some form of connection with those cultist earlier, or else they wouldn’t know her name, nor would they just openly harrass her. He knew the crimson veil was a somewhat twisted cult group, but he believed that they wouldn’t just attack someone without a reason, that he had learnt after Fubara’s explanation.
" Alright, fine, I’ll tell you everything I know. But promise me you shall not breathe a word I tell you to anyone else," Evelyn said, her heart pounding, as she couldn’t believe she had said those words.
She was normally a very manipulative and calculative individual, each word of hers carefully analyzed before speaking, but suddenly, in front of this man and fox, she was finding it a bit difficult to think properly for some reason, and so due to that, she just wanted to blabber it all out.
" Sure, I promise you that not a soul would be told through my mouth," Kenji said with a smile.
" Alright then, follow me. We cannot speak in this place," she then gesturned for them to follow her into the room she had previously gone to take their passes.
