Chapter 40: The Dungeon Boss.(1)
"My master," Haruka said as she raised her head.
Kenji smiled softly. He was happy that he could help her recover and cure her of the effects of the Chaos Bind Pill. But what he was truly and mostly happy about was the fact that he had gained a new ally by his side—and a very powerful one at that.
"Yay! Pink lady is saved!" Leia said, jumping around in excitement. She was thrilled that she had helped save someone’s life and even happier that Kenji-sama had gained a big reward out of it.
"Yes, Leia, pink lad—I mean Haruka—has been saved. And it’s all thanks to you. If not for you, we wouldn’t have been able to save her," Kenji said, bending down and ruffling her hair.
Then Kenji stood up and faced his new tamed beast: Haruka.
"So, Haruka, what happens now?" he asked with an inquisitive gaze. Although she was technically like his servant now, Kenji still saw her as a person and wanted to know her opinion about the whole situation.
Haruka looked straight into Kenji’s eyes, a bit of surprise evident in them. She had expected Kenji to begin treating her like a slave, as that’s technically what she was to him now.
But instead of doing what she had expected, he asked her genuine opinion, which, to her, was very shocking!
"I-I don’t know, master. I shall do whatever you want me to do. My life is in your hands now," she said with a calm smile that held many secrets.
Hearing her words, Kenji frowned. "You know, you’re a bit too uptight, Haruka. Loosen up. Also, I don’t want you to call me master; just Kenji will do."
Hearing his words, Haruka’s eyes widened once again in shock. "Alright, m-m-Kenji, I’ll try to loosen up."
