Chapter 5: The Assessment.
"I am the loyal holy servant of the God of Magic and the God of Light. I am the holy servant," the lady said with a very proud look on her face.
Meanwhile, Kenji had only one thought crossing his mind:
For a servant, you sure act proud.
The lady then walked up to them, her expression shifting to that of a curious child.
"You five are truly very young. You must be less than seventy years old," she said while observing them closely.
"S-Seventy?! How can you say we're younger than seventy? Do we look that old?!" Mayumi said with a worried expression as she nervously moved her hands around her face, silently praying not to see a wrinkle.
"Hahaha! Calm down, I was joking. You have to allow my old bones to laugh a little!" the lady said with an amused smile when she saw Mayumi looking very freaked out.
Everyone released a breath of relief upon hearing her words. They were beginning to fear that they had aged after coming into this world.
"Anyways, as old as I am, I still have to fulfill my devoted duty. I must assess your prowess now. It would be bad for me to keep His Highness waiting," the lady said as she glanced at the king with a side-eye, causing him to look away.
