Chapter 12: A new Adventurer
"Uhm... are... you lost?" the receptionist asked, clearly feeling uncomfortable.
In front of the counter were two individuals, both wearing cloaks that covered their entire bodies and faces. It didn't take much for them to stand out.
"No. My friend here would like to register as an adventurer," the female one spoke.
She was Eri, and the individual beside her was none other than Rashin Montero.
It took almost a day, but they managed to make it to the main capital. Distance was not the issue, as it took some time to find cloaks to hide their faces.
If they were going to survive, Eri knew they needed money, and for money, one of them had to be an adventurer.
It was the fastest way, though it had a low survival rate despite the good pay.
"You want to register your friend as an adventurer?" asked the receptionist.
"Yes, please. And if possible, he would like to remain solo and not under any guild," Eri added.
She remembered Rashin telling her he didn't want to team up with anyone. People were not to be trusted easily, according to him.
The receptionist took her time looking at Rashin, and then she spoke, "If that is what you want, then I'll get started right away. Please, fill out this paper."
