"Listen..."
Eri dusted her clothes, standing in front of Rashin, who was seated on a log.
"You can't go around pinning people to the ground like you did just now. You could have seriously injured me," she warned with a slight frown on her face.
"Apologies. Back in my time, I trained my body to react when I'm vulnerable in case a Hakia attacks. I couldn't help it."
Rashin's response made Eri sigh a bit.
"I have a question," she began. "How were you able to battle the Hakias when you have no blessing? From what we were told, people of the past were powerless against the Hakias and didn't stand a chance against them. But you speak as if you fought them on equal footing."
Rashin stared at his hand.
"To answer your question, I don't remember much of what happened in my time. To be frank, it's a bit blurry, but what I do know is that I stood my ground against them. Never being able to kill them completely was what led to my defeat in every battle."
'This man really is strange, no doubt about it.' Eri now placed her hand on her waist.
"If you say you can't remember, then there's no use talking about it. What we need to figure out is how we'll move from here."
Rashin was quick to speak up.
