Chapter 157: The Gate of Gephin (Part 3)
It was the entrance to heaven, reborn 250 years ago by the Unlocker, MacLaine Gephin. A red orb was embedded in the center, with vertical cracks radiating from it.
Before coming here, Shirone had already concluded a contract with Kadum. His request was simple: go to the Angel’s Library, Ingris, and deliver the will of Chief Kergo of Kadum’s tribe.
The Angel’s Library? Kadum had said it wasn’t a journey to reach God, so it shouldn’t be too difficult. But Shirone couldn’t help but feel that it was an impossible task, involving gods and angels.
Shirone exchanged glances with his friends. They might return. Maybe. Since they had decided to go, there was no choice but to think positively.
When Amy nodded, Shirone placed his hand on the orb at the center of the gate.
Taking a deep breath, he activated the Immortal Function. In that moment, a white flash erupted from the orb.
"Oh, ohhhhh!"
A voice filled with awe echoed. Even Mahatu, a half-angel, knelt and chanted "Anke Ra."
Shirone focused his energy even more.
