FOOTBALL! LEGENDARY PLAYER

Chapter 67: Semi Final IV : Brilliance

The game restarts and, as anticipated, Bayern surges forward angrily, keen to strike back quickly. The next five minutes are a test for Utrecht’s defense and Amani’s leadership. Bayern presses with urgency; their midfield pushes higher, and their fullbacks overlap aggressively.

In the 24th minute, Bayern nearly finds a breakthrough – their left-back, joining the attack, whips a teasing cross into the Utrecht box. A cluster of players leap for it; the ball pinballs around and falls to Bayern’s striker at the penalty spot. He swivels for a shot, but just then, the tall centre-back dives in with a last-ditch block, deflecting the ball away. It is heroic defending, and his shout of triumph after the block is almost as loud as the crowd’s cheers.

Bayern aren’t done – their right winger collects the loose ball, which immediately fires it low toward the far corner. The Utrecht keeper reacts superbly, getting a fingertip to push it wide. Corner for Bayern.

The small crowd of Bavarian fans find their voice again, urging their team on. The corner comes in dangerously, but once more, the tall centre back is there, rising above a sea of bodies to head it clear. For a moment, it’s chaos in the box – Bayern sends it back in, and Utrecht hacks it away.

Finally, Amani Hamadi gets a foot on the ball at the top of the box and coolly dribbles out of danger, drawing a foul from a frustrated Bayern midfielder who yanks him down. The whistle and a free kick relieve the pressure. Utrecht’s supporters applaud vigorously, chanting player names in appreciation: "Niels" for the big defender’s bravery and a loud cheer for Hamadi’s composure to draw the foul and end the siege.

Amani helps Amrabat and others up from the turf, patting their backs. One can see Hamadi’s mouth moving as he speaks to his teammates, likely saying something like "Great work, keep it up." His Elite Composure is emanating – even after that frenetic spell, his expression remains focused and calm, which rubs off on the others.

With Bayern having thrown so many forward, Utrecht looked for chances to counter a second time. In the 26th minute, after weathering the storm, Utrecht managed to slow the pace and string together passes again. Amrabat and Van der Heyden combine in midfield, exchanging short passes to draw Bayern’s midfielders in.

When two opponents converge, Van de Heyden deftly chips the ball over them to Amani, who has drifted into a pocket of space behind. Amani brings the ball down and immediately switches play to the left with a diagonal pass – another attempt to spring Malik on the flank. Malik does well to win a throw-in near the corner flag, giving Utrecht a breather deep in Bayern territory.

As the clock ticks toward 29 minutes, signs of urgency and frustration show in the Bayern ranks. Their earlier confidence has been rattled. This boils over when Malik, continuing to trouble their right-back, gets clattered from behind after releasing a pass. The referee’s whistle is sharp – a late tackle. Malik ends up face down on the grass. Utrecht’s fans boo loudly while Bayern’s coach grimaces.
