Chapter 57: Torn In Half
Huan Caiyi nodded in understanding and stayed while Zhi Hui disappeared from the back of Meiying.
When she appeared, she was already in front of the humongous bear-type spirit beast. It had black fur with some strange marks on its head. The way it was standing in the air, it seemed like a human’s form.
Well, spirit beasts of this level are termed half-demons; they can easily understand human language.
When Zhi Hui appeared in front of it, she looked quite small. Generally, beasts become quite big as they grow stronger, though only a few don’t show this type of growth due to different reasons.
Zhi Hui looked towards it and spoke.
"We didn’t know that this territory belonged to you, and we have no intention of staying here. We are just passing by, so it will be better for everyone if you let us go."
When the beast heard that, it snorted and looked at Zhi Hui menacingly.
Spirit beasts hate humans the most, and since it had already seen Zhi Hui’s cultivation, which was similar to its own, why would it let go of her?
"I see, so be it." Zhi Hui took out her sword and looked at it without blinking.
Eventually, winds began to converge around her. When the beast saw that, its eyes widened. It knew that she was dangerous, far more than it had originally thought.
It lunged at her with its claws raised. They gave off a metallic shine and were as big as she was.
