Chapter 38: The Frozen Past
Ming Yue was practicing her sword skills with full concentration and wasn’t paying attention to her surroundings, so she didn’t sense the arrival of Jiang Hao.
Eventually, though, in one of her turns, her eyes met with Jiang Hao, who was calmly standing there without any expression. She stopped for a moment and looked at herself, she was completely soaked in sweat.
She blushed a little and used her spirit qi. Instead of evaporating, all the sweat on her body froze instantly, even the moisture inside her robe froze, and after that, everything broke into the finest ice particles and dissolved into the air like mist.
It was amazing to see such fine control of spirit qi. Jiang Hao was really amazed at that sight. He also had elemental affinities, which he absorbed from the spirit herbs, but they hadn’t reached the level where he could control those elements easily.
He could use fire qi in very miniscule amount, though, but he might not be able to control that one easily either. Controlling elemental qi required practice too.
"Junior Brother Jiang, were you peeping?"
"That is just a baseless accusation, Senior Sister Ming. I just arrived here and was curious why you were practicing here."
"Ahh... I see, but Junior Brother, you could have called me since I wasn’t paying attention. But instead of doing that, you decided to stand and watch me. That is definitely peeping, Junior Brother."
Jiang Hao was speechless. Right now, he would have preferred if Ming Yue showed him her cold side, it would be easier to handle.
"Senior Sister, I didn’t want to break your concentration. By the way, Senior Sister, why are you here?"
He tried to divert the topic, and Ming Yue saw him do that. She smiled and didn’t continue pestering him.
