Chapter 141: Rot in jail!
Within the next second, all hell broke loose and it was pure chaos.
The people who were once watching with anticipation were now wearing panicked and flustered expressions on their faces as they started to scream and ran away, afraid that they were going to be the next victim. People were running out of the office lobby and some rushed into the elevators trying to escape to the other floors.
By this time, the guards had already caught up to Aaron and they roughly pushed him down onto the ground despite his shouts and protests. They had his hands behind his back as they called the police.
My vision was starting to blur. I was getting light-headed and I swayed from side to side, grimacing in pain as I was struggling to walk and stand on my own. Just as my knees buckled and I was about to collapse onto the ground, somebody rushed to my side and caught me by my arms, holding me up.
"Oh my god, Aurelia!" My name left her lips in a panic. I looked up, blinking a couple of times as I waited for my vision to adjust. From the blurry silhouette, I could somehow tell that it was Serena who was staring back at me with a concerned look etched onto her face.
She had just so happened to pass by when she saw me from a distance. She looked down at me with a worried and flustered look written all over her face.
"Oh my god, oh my god... What happened..." she muttered under her breath as she looked down to see the blood pooling at my shirt, not even noticing that her husband was pinned down on the cold hard ground not too far away from us.
With her shaky hands she reached down to her purse that had fallen onto the ground and reached for her phone. She looked at me, her eyes glistening with tears and fear was swirling in the depths of her eyes.
"Aurelia, hang in there, I’m calling the ambulance, you have to stay with me. Stay with me, okay?"
