Chapter 119: Betrayal
The voice taunted as my mind struggled to comprehend the reality that I was thrown right into.
My eyes widened in shock and disbelief as I stared ahead and was rendered speechless at that moment. My mind raced with thoughts and my heart was thumping loudly against my chest, threatening to burst out at any second now.
What the hell is going on? How did this... happen?
I watched as the corners of her lips twisted upwards into a self-satisfied smirk. It was Stella who was standing right before my eyes, smugness radiating from every inch of her skin.
"What are you standing there for?" She mocked, amusement dancing in her eyes. "Come on in," she demanded with a smile playing on her lips.
Before I could even react or say another word, she reached out and wrapped her fingers around my wrist, catching me by surprise. She forcefully yanked me into the hotel room by my arm, throwing me onto the ground and locking the door behind us.
"What... What is going on? Why are you here?" I asked, hurling question after question at her as I looked up to meet her mocking gaze.
"Not just her, I am here too," a familiar voice announced as a deep chuckle reached my ear. I snapped my head around to find myself looking right into Aaron’s eyes, his lips were also twisted upwards into a knowing smirk. My eyes widened as I stared at him with a blank expression that masked my features. "Surprised to see me here? Did you think that I would be stuck in jail because you made that police report? You couldn’t be more wrong, darling." He spat the words out like they were poison in his mouth as he glanced over at me with disdain.
"I will make sure you end up in jail one day!" I gritted my teeth and pressed my palms against the carpeted floor, trying to push myself up to stand on my feet this time. But instead, Stella only walked forward and shoved me by my shoulders without a single warning, causing me to fall back down onto the ground in shock.
"What do you think you are trying to do?" Stella mocked. "You are all alone here and there’s no one to help you."
She squatted down and leaned forward to get closer to me, our faces now barely inches apart. "Just a word of advice, maybe don’t act so tough the next time. Hmm?" She taunted as she arched her brow at me. She stood back up and walked over to rest her arm on his shoulder as she looked down at me with a smirk on her lips. "I know you know about Aaron and I. Did you think you could hide this secret forever? Come on, Aurelia. I’m not stupid."
