"Were you trying to suffocate me?" Her words came out breathlessly, a playful accusation.
"I couldn’t resist, you’re absolutely stunning—and pardon my language, but you’re incredibly hot," he admitted, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Well, you better control yourself. We’re in the office, and this is a risky game to play."
At her warning, Matteo’s expression darkened, a sudden seriousness overshadowing his features. Stella, ever perceptive, fixed her gaze on him, seeking the reason behind the shift.
"What’s with the sudden shift?"
"You tend to forget that I’m the mastermind behind this company you seem to hold in higher regard than its supposed owner."
