Chapter 248: Flirting
She thought to herself, panicking slightly as she met his steely gaze on her, raking her with a sort of reprove. Before him, she felt like a kid that her done something wrong, but was being spared – except in her case, she did not think she was going to he spared. Was it the playful nature of the client toward her that had gotten him this pissed? She could almost sense his fury palpitating in the air around them. She could literally feel herself suffocating in it.
"How did you feel flirting with the client?"
Stella did not want to believe that the question was directed at her, but they were the only two in the elevator, which only meant that he was talking to her. there was a distinct ringing in her ear that signified her brewing anger, and she needed to do something about it. He hadn’t called her what she thought he was calling her indirectly, so she would not flare up over something that he hadn’t said.
What would make him utter such bullshit in the first place?
She sighed one last time and opened her eyes, "Excuse me," She said again, refusing to let her anger get the best of her. she could not remember feeling this energetic in a long time, but she will not let it get the best of her, as it was already doing within her.
"You heard me clearly, don’t play dumb."
She sucked in air through her teeth, pulling her lower lip into her mouth, and once again, she shut her eyes.
How dare he call me a whore?!
"He was being friendly, and I was inclined to return the energy. I doubt that is something that you know since you are so filled with hate and jealousy."
