Chapter 220: Remember her
She peered around in search of the reception desk when her gaze fell on a familiar figure that was approaching her. It wasn’t until a few feet away that she realized who it was and instantly wished she’d be invisible.
It was Grace, one of the sassy girls in college who loved to tease people like her and make fun of them behind their back – sometimes, right in front of them.
She had been trying for years to garner Matteo’s attention, at the time that they were all in a closed environment, it was much easy to witness everything about people, down to their mannerisms.
She’d go to class in the flashiest attires just to get on Beatrix’s good side, completely missing the point and wasting her time on someone who never really cared about her in the first place.
Just thinking about the times where Beatrix had ignored all of her advances, Stella couldn’t help the smile that had formed on her face.
"Hey, Grace, what are you doing here?" Stella turned to her fully, asking the question in the most friendliest demeanor she could conjure from her mind.
"Well, same thing as you." Was she here for the interview? At impulse, Stella began to scan her outfit and the overall way that she looked.
Grace was on a black mini-skirt, draped with a cheap-looking waist chain that cinched her waist like a cartoon female character who looked out of place. Her top was a white, supposedly fitted long sleeve that cupped her breasts together in the strangest way, showing her that she hadn’t done a good job of packing up reasonably.
Irrespective, she looked like the person that Matteo would want to have as his girlfriend, if not for the rest of her life. She found herself questioning where her stand was and what it would take to get her to a place where the spotlight would shine on her and even illuminate better than her counterpart.
