Chapter 211: Our girlfriend
Her father stood there, staring at the scene as it was playing out. Since he hadn’t immediately said no, Beatrix pushed forward. "I like him a lot, Dad. He’s good to me, treats me like a queen and I know he’s capable of so much. You would have done the same thing if you were in his shoes... it’s not right."
"You sure are talkative about him. How does his brother fit into all this?" her father asked.
Beatrix bit her bottom lip and Damien spoke up. "If she likes Rhys as well, so be it. I know that I want to be with Beatrix and as long as she wants me, I’m going to be here.I know I messed up, but I’m sorry. I apologize on mine and my brother’s behalf. Please give me another chance to make her happy."
Beatrix took his hand and leaned into Damien. Her eyes brightened and she smiled slightly. "I want to be right here, with you and Rhys."
"I’m glad to hear it," Damien purred, wrapping his arms around her waist.
Ares glowered. "There is no fucking way-"
"You trust them?" Beatrix’s father asked.
"I do. I trust them, I like them, and I’m going to be with them. It would be nice if you allowed that, but I’m an adult and I get to choose who I’m with," Beatrix said firmly.
Ares blinked a few times and shared a long look with their father. He shook his head slowly. "I can’t keep you from seeing him, but I don’t want to see it."
