Chapter 182: Visit graveyard
As Beatrix slowly opened her eyes, she realized she was not alone. The warmth of Rhys’ body enveloped her, his arm draped over her waist, and his breath tickled her neck. The room was bathed in the soft glow of the early morning sun, accompanied by the melodic chirping of birds outside. Beatrix took a moment to savor the intimacy of the moment, feeling a deep sense of contentment and happiness wash over her.
Turning her head, she gazed at Rhys, who was still sound asleep, his face relaxed and peaceful. She admired the way the sunlight danced in his hair, the gentle rise and fall of his chest with each breath, and the comforting sensation of his body against hers. A smile spread across her face as memories of the previous night flooded her thoughts—the passion, the intensity, and how Rhys had made her feel truly alive.
Gratitude and affection surged within her, and she knew she wanted to spend more time with him, waking up in his arms every morning. Lost in her thoughts, Rhys began to stir, his arm tightening around her waist as he nuzzled his face into her neck, planting a soft kiss there.
"Good morning, beautiful," he whispered, his voice husky with sleep.
Beatrix turned her head to face him, her eyes sparkling with joy. "Good morning," she replied, her smile radiant. "Last night was amazing. I feel so happy and fulfilled."
Rhys grinned, mischief dancing in his eyes. "I’m glad to hear that. But you know, we can always create more cherished memories."
Beatrix laughed, a blush coloring her cheeks. "You’re insatiable, Rhys."
Chuckling, he leaned in, capturing her lips in a deep kiss. As they broke apart, Rhys whispered against her lips, "I can’t get enough of you, Beatrix. You make me feel alive in a way I’ve never experienced before."
Her heart swelled with love and happiness, and she cupped his face in her hands, gazing into his eyes. "I feel the same way, Rhys. You’ve brought so much joy and passion into my life."
