Chapter 110: Caught
"M-Matteo." Beatrix stammered, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. Out of the people who had caught her it was Matteo.
"W-what are you doing here? She asked, trying to sound nonchalant.
"I came to check on you. And I’m glad I did," Matteo said, his voice cold and accusatory. "Imagine if it had been another person, what do you think is going to happen, Beatrix!" He yelled at her
Beatrix flinched. It was the first time that Matteo was raising his voice at her.
Bile rising in her throat, Beatrix tried to play it cool. "It’s not what you think, Matteo," she stammered. "We were just talking and it just happened."
"Just talking?" Matteo scoffed. "You expect me to believe that? Your fiancé is lying down on a hospital bed fighting for his life and you’re here having your tongue buried in his brother’s mouth."
Beatrix flinched. She didn’t know how to explain to Matteo that she was with both brothers and Damien already knew about it.
Society was never going to accept that and she was afraid of what her brother would say or think about her.
"It’s my fault. I kissed her." Rhys mumbled. Matteo snapped his attention to Rhys and he strode towards him.
"Stop it,Matteo l!" She screamed as he launched himself at Rhys.
"What are you doing?" Despite her pleas, Matteo punched Rhys in the eye, causing him to stumble.
