Chapter 82: Outing
Beatrix looked at herself in the mirror and nodded with satisfaction. She was wearing a long, flowing maxi style with puff sleeves and a square collar. It had a split down the front and ruffle detailing along the hem and collar. The dress was adorned with a floral pattern and was backless, adding a touch of sexiness yet simple to the overall look.
Her hair fell loose over her shoulders. She still was struggling with how to put on makeup so she opted for a simple lip gloss. She put on her contact lens and grabbed her bag walking out of her room.
Rhys said he was taking her out today. She had no idea where they were going but she was happy to spend time with him.
Last night he had another nightmare again. He was more aggressive and violent than the last time. Fortunately he didn’t hurt himself or her.
Beatrix sighed. It was difficult to see someone you cared about go through a difficult time and just watch without having the power to help them.
He was muttering some weird words. Beatrix nearly died of a heart attack when he took a needle from his drawer and injected himself with something. Muttering how it helped keep the demons and voices away.
It was so heartbreaking to watch him break down. He calmed down after the injection and finally saw that she was there with him in the room.
He didn’t say a word to her clearly and he was embarrassed again. Beatrix coaxed him to take a shower to wash away the sweat and after she was done helping him to bath, they came back to sleep with him lying down on her chest while she calmed him down stroking her hands through his hair.
The more time she spent with him the more she was curious about what his nightmares were about.
He never mentioned anything about being abused like Damien and he was protected by Damien so what could possibly be haunting him?
Watching his parents killed? Probably because she couldn’t think of anything else.
