Chapter 29: Mysteries
When they arrived at the place they would be staying Damien climbed out of the vehicle before the driver had the opportunity to open the door for him.
Beatrix was dumbstruck at the house in front of her. When her dad had told her she was going to be moving in with Damien she thought she was going to live in a big mansion surrounded by heavy security just like their place and she loathed the idea but this.....this house was nothing like the one she had imagined.
She gazed at the house in awe. It’s like something out of her imagination.
It was a Mediterranean inspired pastoral estate, permanently basked in a pastel-yellow glow, surrounded by manicured gardens and accented by a second floor bridge and porch over the front entrance.
Beatrix snapped out of her reverie as Damien stood there, holding the car door open for her. He instructed the driver to take their bags instead.
Beatrix smiled up at him and thanked him as she got out of the car.
"So....we would be living here?" She asked not to be able to wipe the smile off her face.
Damien slipped his hands into his pockets and turned his head to look at her.
"Hmmm what do you think?"
