Chapter 3: Interesting
He led her through the sticky mass of crowd and turned around to look at her when they reached the staircase.
"Are you okay?!" He shouted over the loud music and Beatrix nodded.
He gave her a smile and her breath hitched as warmth spread through her. Life was really unfair. How can people even look more beautiful when they smiled while she looked like chucky from the horror movie?
Beatrix tried to ignore the butterflies in her stomach with him holding her hands. She followed him on the staircase as she tried her best not to touch the railings or bump into the people making out.
Ew! Okay maybe she was just jealous of them sucking the life out of each other.
Once they reached the top he turned sharply, and panic shot through her as she tried to figure where he was taking her.
They reached a small corridor and he pushed a door open leading her inside of it. Beatrix realized that they were now on the rooftop of the bar.
"Are you afraid of heights?" He asked as they approached the edge of the rooftop.
"N-no." Beatrix replied and bit her lips nervously. God was he going to push her off the building? Yes that must be the reason because why the hell would he bring her here? Beatrix glanced around if anyone was around but unfortunately they were alone.
So there would be no witnesses if he decides to push her? Gosh she must be really stupid to follow a complete hot mysterious stranger to the edge of a rooftop.
"Good, let’s sit down." He said while he helped her sit on the edge with her feet dangling in the cold air.
