Chapter 466: Why?
Death is both a blessing and a curse, and I wasn’t talking about Chang Xuefeng.
Looking at the man slumped over as if he had died, I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "Nice try," I said, my voice as gentle as I could make it despite my harsh words. "But we can see you breathing."
"Why didn’t you kill me?" grunted the man, his arms still hanging limply at his sides. However, that was just a reaction to becoming blind. I’m sure if I gave him a knife and enough time, he would have no problems trying to kill me.
"I’m not sure," I shrugged honestly, even as Luca took my cup of coffee out of his space and handed it to me. "A part of me thinks that it’s not fair to leave you alive after you ate your wife and child. But another part thinks that living with a gaping hole in your chest from your missing memories might be fitting."
Shrugging my shoulders, I spun around, not wanting to deal with the man anymore.
And people called me a monster. At least I haven’t eaten anyone.

Eric nodded his head as he spun around, going after Hattie. Luca and the others remained on the porch, looking down at the man.
"I didn’t kill anyone," said the man, shakily as he tried to climb to his feet. "I don’t know what she is talking about. I think I would remember eating my wife and child."
