Chapter 460: Snowflake In A Swamp
While the guys and Bishop were bickering like a bunch of children, I studied the world around us. Things were starting to change, and they weren’t small changes, either.
No, these ones were enough to shake the very foundations of the world itself. Who knew that a simple fight would cause so many demon seeds to sprout? It was like Hell had appeared on Earth, and humans didn’t even know they were going extinct.
Shaking my head, I leaned against Greed. "I’m bored," I sighed, closing my eyes. Not my house, not my gators. Bishop could do what he wanted, when he wanted, with whom he wanted in the small city he was carving for himself.
I’d leave him to it... let it rise or fall on its own. As long as he stayed out of my business, I would stay out of his. It was a fair trade off, as far as I was concerned.
The guys didn’t want to rule this new Hell, with these new demons, and the idea of me ruling anything made me break out in hives. No, I was very happy doing my own thing and granting wishes from time to time.
"Then let’s get you home," smiled Eric as he reached out to brush a curl off my face. "Early to bed, early to rise, makes Hattie happy, healthy, and wise."
"Fuck that shit," I scoffed, my nose wrinkling in disgust at that very idea. "I’ll sleep when I want to, play when I want to... and there is no way I am waking up early by any stretch of the imagination, no matter how early I go to bed."
"I think you missed his point," murmured Luca as he whispered in my ear. "He just wants to get you into bed and is taking a high-handed approach to it."
Turning to Eric, I was surprised to see a slight blush coloring his cheeks as he refused to meet my eyes. "If that is the case," I said, not wanting to make him more embarrassed than he already was. "Next time just say ’nice shoes, wanna fuck?’ I understand straightforward more than you beating around the bush."
