Chapter 383: The Village In The Trees
Unable to sleep, Selene waited until the sun had just risen before going to seek out the Seer.
Crossing the rope bridges that interconnected the trees and homes of her village, she couldn’t stop her heart from pounding. Stopping in the middle of one bridge, she looked over the side at the velociraptors on the jungle floor.
The creatures were some of the most vicious that she had ever experienced, and while they weren’t a big as they were in the movies, they were definitely just as smart.
"How did they find us?" she asked to her silent shadow. Rhys stepped forward until he was by her side.
"I don’t know," he answered, trying to think. "But if they have found us, it’s just a matter of time before the others do. We can’t survive another attack from the T-rex."
Selene scoffed bitterly at his words. "If you had said that four years ago, I would have thought you were crazy," she sighed as the reptiles continued to study them out in the open.
There was just one of the many reasons why none of them had even touched the ground in two years. Between the dinosaurs, the insects, the predators, and the flora, everything in this place was out to get them.
Even the other humans who had managed to survive.
The only reason why they were still alive was because of the Seer. He was the one who had saved them; it was his visions that told them how to be safe and taught the rest of the people what they needed to do to survive.
