Chapter 380: A Knock On The Door
There was a round of growls so dark that they sent shivers of pleasure up and down my spine.
"We no talk about you dyin’," announced Ronan, rolling out of bed with a cold look on his face. "Dat topic is off the table, permanently."
Blinking my eyes at him, I nodded my head silently. Okay then. Apparently, that was a landmine I didn’t know about. I wondered for a moment if that had always been there or if it was something that appeared after last night.
Either way, I wasn’t going to mention it again.
"Death," said Chang Xuefeng, pointing to himself. "They’ll have to go through me to reap your soul, and that isn’t going to happen. Death, for you, isn’t happening. Now, let’s get you fed. You won’t grow any taller if you don’t eat your vegetables."
My eyes narrowed on the Angel of Death, letting out a soft growl of my own. "I’m 22," I spat out. "I’m as tall as I ever will be. Do you know a lot of 22 year olds who suddenly get a growth spurt? Besides, veggies are yucky. I’d rather stay short for the rest of my life than be forced to eat veggies for eternity."
Cocking my head to the side, I stopped talking. That could be a new level of hell. A unique punishment for the truly deranged souls. Having to eat veggies for every meal until the end of time. No carbs, no sugar, no meat.
Tilting my head back, I let out an evil cackle even as I headed out of the bedroom and down the stairs.
"Not even going to ask," said Beau, following quickly after me. He was still covered in blood, and he reeked. In fact, they all did.
