Be Careful What You Wish For: A Zombie Apocalypse

Chapter 376: First And Foremost Hattie’s

Dimitri was pissed; there was no other word for it. Walking away from the house, from Hattie when they were in a strange place, with danger all around, was nothing short of painful.

The only saving grace was that he knew the house would protect her when he wasn’t there. But even that was cold consolation. No one could protect the Devil better than Wrath could.

"Then you and I need to get on the same page," sneered Wrath inside Dimitri’s head. "You still haven’t offered up our soul yet. You still don’t understand me yet."

"Neither ’ave you," sneered Dimitri. It wasn’t just the human who could offer up their soul; the demon could do it just as well.

"You are a blade forged in fire," said Wrath, his presence pushing through Dimitri’s resistance. Looking through the eyes of the Sin, the jungle around them appeared to be completely different.

Gone was the darkness, the bright green of the plants. Gone was everything that the man had expected. And in its place were the very creatures who had been stalking them.

"De turkey is gonna kill us?" asked Dimitri, blinking rapidly as he looked at the creatures on either side of his path. Sure, he had seen enough movies to recognize a velociraptor when he saw one. But instead of the six-foot ones that were popularized, these were the size of a turkey.

"See, that’s your problem," sighed Wrath, wanting to smack the human. "You just see the outside and dismiss it. You don’t see the threat it poses."

"It’s a turkey," grumbled Dimitri. Sure, there was about 50 of them in total, but what could the little things do to him? "Think Hattie would like it roasted?" he continued, cocking his head to the side as he created a ball of molten metal in his hands.
