Chapter 323: Fairly Easy
Ramsey let out a low whine as he looked around the room that they had been caged in. After the mist came, the more human part of him had been completely knocked out, but the fire in his blood burned through the drugs quickly.
Unfortunately for him, it wasn’t quick enough and the Queen had been taken away.
"Whining won’t help," snarled the man inside the door, sounding more like an animal than the Hellhound himself. "And it is just grating on my nerves. If you are simply going to roll over and show your belly, let me out, and I’ll take care of everything."
"Take care of everything?" sneered Ramsey, his low whine completely cut off thanks to Tank needling him. "And exactly what can you take care of? Have you joined us to the Queen? No, you haven’t. You have been pussyfooting around everything, trying to put on one face and being completely different inside. You should have been a demon, not a hound."
Tank raised an eyebrow. The two of them were in one collective mind, almost like a yin/yang symbol. He was standing on the white side, staring down at the orange eyes peering out at him from the shadows on the other side.
"Our Queen has been abused since she can remember," sneered the man. Did he want to link himself to Hattie in a completely permanent way? Of course he did. He wasn’t a fool. Hattie was the only woman he would ever love in any of his lives.
But because he loved her, he needed to take what she needed into consideration, not just his wants.
"Arguing like this won’t help. What is going on on the outside?" sighed Tank, trying to remind himself that as intelligent as Ramsey was, he was a Hellhound and worked on instincts.
Nine times out of ten, it would be fine to let him take the lead, but this was not one of those times. He and Hattie had been separated in the very labs that she had nightmares about. He had to find her fast and prevent her from spiraling.
