Be Careful What You Wish For: A Zombie Apocalypse

Chapter 295: I Can Help

Tank glared at Eric as he pushed past him and walked into the kitchen. It had been driving him crazy all day, stuck as a dog as another man claimed to be his woman’s husband.

It wasn’t like he refused to share, but she had eight other men that she could have chosen from for that role.

"And just think," purred Hattie as she took a sip from her glass of milk. "If we had gone all together, then you wouldn’t have had to put up with it."

"Reading minds now, Little Lamb?" grunted Tank, leaning forward until he could take her lips into his own. Kidding her as if he was merging their very souls together, Tank couldn’t help but reach for her hair, pulling her in even closer. "This plan is shit," he grumbled, pulling away just enough to be able to see his woman’s face.

"I said that from the start," Hattie sighed as she picked up the chicken burger on her plate. "But if I remember correctly, you all outvoted me."

Tank couldn’t help but cringe at the note of anger in her voice. However, at the time, he really did think that they were doing the right thing.

"Tank?" grunted an unwelcome voice in the kitchen and Tank let go of Hattie long enough to claim one of the seats beside her. "Holy crap. You’re alive."

Looking at the man who was once his good friend, Tank couldn’t help but let out a low growl. Images of Ghost’s betrayal and then Bishop’s made his hands sweat as he wondered where Eric was going to fall.

"Eric," replied Tank with a brisk nod. "It’s been a while."
