Chapter 247: I Wish For My Parents
I heard a soft chuckle over my shoulder just as I bumped into Chang Xuefeng. "You need to deal with this!" I grunted, pointing to the little girl. Seriously, I had no idea how to deal with children; I had never really been exposed to them enough to develop antibodies.
Shuddering slightly, I looked up at Daddy. "You’re Daddy," I hissed at him as he continued to look at me with a smile on his face. "You can get her away from me. But you can’t be her Daddy." Yeah, as much as I wanted him to deal with the kid, I also wasn’t big on sharing.
So sue me.
"Sorry, Princess," smiled Chang Xuefeng as he gently brushed my hair away from my face. "But she is asking for a wish. That makes it more in your department than mine."
Clearly done with waiting for us, the kid started talking again.
"It’s not nice not to share. Mrs. Mount told me that it was important that everyone share. If you were in her class, I’m sure she would have told you the same thing," replied the little girl with her arms crossed in front of her, her foot tapping impatiently.
Was this kid really calling me out for never having gone to school?
"Must have missed that day," I replied, my eyes narrowing as all my fear of little kids disappeared in that instant. Now I was too pissed off. "First of all, witches don’t grant wishes. They do magic and things to make themselves happy, but they don’t go around granting wishes. Even I know that. You are looking for a genie."
Sticking my lollypop back into my mouth, I used it to keep myself occupied so I didn’t make the kid cry. On a side note, cheesecake isn’t a good lollypop flavor. I’ll have to find my banana ones next.
