Chapter 184: Fuck. That. Shit
I couldn’t remember the dream that I was having... all I remembered was that I was screaming out names in pleasure when it felt like I had been drenched in icy water.
Sitting bolt upright in bed, I knocked Chang Xuefeng’s arm off of me as I struggled to get out of the blankets. Like the first time I had spent seven days in here, I put all the crappy furniture in my space and brought out a massive bed, big enough for the four of us.
However, my nightmare and the ’man’witch I had found myself in wasn’t enough to account for the feeling of pure terror that overcame me.
"G--- o—t," called out Luci’s voice inside my head. "R---n."
I didn’t know if I was feeling her fear because of our connection or if her fear was emphasizing my own, but I was practically vibrating.
"Mon Ange?" grunted Dante, struggling to sit up. "What’s going on?"
"You can’t feel it?" I demanded. Looking down at my arms, all of the tiny hairs on my body were standing upright. "Something is coming."
"I don’t feel anything," grunted Chang Xuefeng with a shake of his head. "Can you tell me more?"
I didn’t know how much it meant to me that he believed me instead of shooting me down until right this moment. And if I weren’t so freaked out, I definitely would have given him a reward. But that was going to have to wait until later.
