Chapter 174: Are You Still Willing?
Pride stared at the Angel of Death, not willing to break eye contact with the divine being just in case he tried something.
Tank, more than a little bored of the whole standoff, had gone back to trying to figure out how to get inside the compound, while Chang Xuefeng fought hard not to laugh. Had demons always been this interesting?
"Why are you here, Angel?" sighed Pride finally. His stupid meat sack’s eyes were starting to water from being open for so long and now it looked like he was about to cry. Instead of going that far, Pride simply conceded that being an angel meant that the other man didn’t have the same responses as a human would.
"None of your business, demon," sighed Chang Xuefeng, bored from having to answer the same question over and over again.
"You would think that all the angels would have been called back when the world came to an end. I guess you aren’t a favorite if the rest of the angels were willing to leave you down here to suffer with the rest of us," smirked Pride, hoping to get a strike in.
Letting out another sigh, Chang Xuefeng pinched the bridge of his nose. "There are at least 50 angels currently on Earth, including my brother, Israfil. But all that is besides the point given the fact that I am not an angel."
Pride blinked a few times as he tired to understand what Chang Xuefeng had said. He prided himself on being the most intelligent of all his brothers, so to feel so stupid in front of this male was driving him into a rage.
"You aren’t an angel?" he asked after a moment.
"Nope," replied Chang Xuefeng, not bothering to hide his smile as he added an extra emphasis on the ’p’.
