Chapter 108: Silent But Deadly
Of the twenty or so men around me, more than half of them kept their mouths shut; the sneering looks on their faces telling me just what they thought of my question.
There were five who wished for death, while only two asked for their body weight in food.
All of the wishes were accepted right off the bat, and I wasn’t exactly going to give any warnings to these men. They didn’t mean anything to me, and Greed needed as many souls as possible.
Seven souls, back in the possession of the Seven Sins. Well, six, because no one seemed to know where Wrath had gone. But I could have sworn he had spoken to me earlier, so I have no idea what that was about.
But seven souls were only just the start.
"Harbinger!" called out Feng Niu, going a crap job at hiding his shock that I wasn’t ripped apart by the men. "You’re next to the pit."
Shrugging my shoulders, I stood up, snapped my nose back into place, and strolled toward the reaver. There were low murmurings around us, and questions as to why I was sent back to fight twice without being healed drifted over to me.
"Because my last opponent only managed to land a single shot," I called over my shoulder, not bothering to look at the peanut gallery. I was sure that before I got bored of this place, I would be meeting most, if not all, in the pit.
Yin Jie, though, he I had a special death planned for him. Complaining about being healed... such bullshit.
