Dominic gave a sly little smile. "Aurora, are you worried he’s still not feeling well?"

Aurora gave her a sideways glance. "He saved my life. I’m just going to thank him."

Dominic pouted, thinking to herself: you’re only doing this because you care about him.

Aurora and Dominic walked over to Everett. His eyes lifted from his phone and landed right on Aurora’s face.

"You... feeling better now?" she asked quietly.

Everett raised an eyebrow. "More or less."

Though he said that, his complexion didn’t look great—still pale and slightly off.

"As long as you’re okay. Anyway... thank you for saving me."
