est.Leo sat on his sleek black horse at the Caulem camp as Liana approached, holding out a new bow, its polished wood glowing, he hung the bow across his back, and a quiver of arrows rested at his side.
"Young Master Leo, good luck breaking the hunting point record," she said with a broad, lighthearted smile.
"It requires no luck. I’m capable of this." The air was humming with excitement as nobles prepared for the start of the Royal Hunting Event, and his crimson eyes scanned the bustling camp.
Rin settled herself on a spirited chestnut mare across the clearing, close to the Fritzl camp, her elegant figure highlighted by her dark pink hunting suit of tight leather trousers and a fitted tunic. She had not ridden in days, and her nervousness was evident as her hold on the reins trembled a little.
Gregor, already on a sleek gray stallion beside her, leaned over to steady her reins. "Stay close, Miss Valarune," he said with a charming smile.
Rin looked up into his eyes, a slight but genuine smile relieving her anxiety. She had a short sword, a quiver of arrows, and a light bow at her waist. Her violet hair was tied in a tight braid, and the nobles around her were ogling her with admiration.
Her pink eyes gleamed with resolve as she said, "Let’s make sure I get some solid kills."
Gregor’s tone was calm and comforting, and his jet-black eyes gleamed. "I’ll make sure we bring down a game worthy of you, so don’t worry."
As they guided their horses toward the forest’s entrance, a sudden blur of black fur darted across their path, making Rin’s mare snort and step sideways.
Rin’s hand flew to her chest in a gasp, but she felt a wave of relief when she saw the familiar cat. Her voice softened with warmth as she said, "Oh, it’s just Nimbus."
Gregor looked at the cat and furrowed his brow. "Nimbus? That one was always wandering around the Academy. Is it yours?"
