Forbidden Cravings

Chapter 126: Sara’s Confession

Sara’s words hung in the air, soft but heavy, like a confession I wasn’t ready to hear. "Maybe I just wanted to see you," she said, her voice quieter now, almost sincere. "You know, before everything changes."

I blinked, my face twisting in confusion. "Huh? What?" I said, leaning forward slightly, trying to read her. The room felt too small, the glow of the vanity lights casting long shadows across her white gown.

She looked down at her hands, her fingers twisting together nervously, her short dark hair falling forward to frame her face.

"Yeah," she said, almost whispering. "I really enjoyed the time we spent together, Ezra." Her voice was soft, but there was a weight to it that made my stomach churn.

I snorted, crossing my arms, my tone flat and unyielding. "Yeah, more like you enjoyed our time in bed and blackmailing me to fuck you until you were satisfied." The words came out sharper than I meant, but I didn’t care.

Our history was a mess of late nights and bad decisions, and I wasn’t about to let her rewrite it with some sentimental nonsense.

Her head snapped up, and in a flash, she was on her feet, her bridal gown swishing as she stormed toward me.

"You motherfucker," she hissed, her eyes blazing. "Will you ever just listen?" Before I could react, she shoved me back against the door, her hands planting firmly on either side of me, caging me in.

The wood creaked under my weight, and I froze, caught off guard by how close she was.

"Ahm..." A small sound escaped my throat, more surprise than anything else. Our eyes locked, hers dark and intense, her breath warm and mingling with mine in the tight space between us. The scent of her perfume—something floral and sharp—filled my lungs, and for a second, I couldn’t think straight.

"What are you doing, Sara?" I said, my voice low, trying to keep it steady despite the way my pulse was racing.
