Chapter 57: The Domination Begins
Sara slid off the bed after a minute, her bare feet padding soft on the polished wood as she stretched, her maroon one-piece riding up a little, showing off her legs.
She wandered over to the refrigerator tucked against the wall—shiny silver, twice the size of ours at home—and pulled it open, the cold air puffing out as she grabbed a water bottle.
She twisted the cap off with a quick *pop*, standing there in her dress, sipping fast, the water glugging down her throat, a little dribbling down her chin as she wiped it with the back of her hand.
"So, what are we gonna do now?" I asked, my voice bored and flat, my eyes flicking to her. "Sit and watch a movie or something?" I leaned my head back, the cushion swallowing me, already done with this day.
*Pfft*—she snorted, mid-sip, her lips curling into a smirk as she lowered the bottle, water sloshing inside. "Is that what you want to do?" she asked, her tone teasing, her dark eyes glinting as she leaned against the fridge door.
"Nah," I said, pulling my phone from my pocket, my thumb brushing the screen as I unlocked it, irritation bubbling up fast. "Now I’m just trying to figure out what goes on in that peanut-sized, useless brain of yours," I snapped, my voice sharp, scrolling through nothing—texts, notifications, anything to kill the time she was wasting.
She froze, the water bottle halfway to her mouth, her eyes narrowing sharp at me. Then she took one more quick sip—gulping loud—slammed the bottle back into the fridge, and shut the door hard, the *bang* echoing through the big room.
Her bare feet slapped the floor as she stormed over, her maroon dress swishing. Before I could react, she snatched my phone from my hand—her fingers quick—and tossed it onto the side couch with a soft *thud*
"What are you doing?" I said, my voice jumping, irritated as hell, sitting up fast, my hands gripping the chair arms.
