Ling Momo felt a warmth in her heart, and she suddenly realized that what she had been concerned about all day was responding to Enson’s message.
Hastily, Ling Momo tapped out a reply on her phone to Enson, "I really appreciate it, I truly didn’t expect you would do such a thing!"
After sending the message, she patiently waited for a response from Enson.
Three minutes later, there was no reaction from her phone. Ling Momo kept picking it up to check, feeling a slight sense of disappointment.
Ten minutes passed, and as Ling Momo was staring blankly at her phone, Chen Wanru lazily sat up from the couch, peeling off the facial mask from her face. She gently raised her hand, patted her cheeks, and looked up to see Ling Momo. Her movements paused for a moment before she continued to pat her face dry.
Chen Wanru noticed Ling Momo still fixated on her phone, oblivious to the fact that Wanru had awoken. Standing up, she lightly coughed to clear her throat, "You’re here."
Only then did Ling Momo look up. Her previously downcast expression instantly brightened into a smile as she hastily stood up and exclaimed, "Sister Chen, you’re awake."
Chen Wanru nodded, walked over to a table, picked up a bottle of toner, took a piece of cotton pad, dampened it, and carefully wiped her face in front of the mirror.
Ling Momo smiled softly, "Sister Chen, I really want to thank you for today. I didn’t expect you to come to my aid."
Chen Wanru remained silent, meticulously applying skincare products to her face while looking into the mirror.
