Li Qingshen nodded slightly, then turned around and reached out his hand, wrapping it around Ling Momo’s waist, and walked toward the corner sofa.
This was the first time Ling Momo had seen Li Qingshen since they had parted after the advertisement shoot.
Originally, Ling Momo felt a hint of warmth in her heart because Li Qingshen had drunk the wine for her. She turned her head and upon seeing Li Qingshen’s cold, handsome face, she involuntarily thought of the words he had said that day. Ling Momo pursed her lips, and that warmth in her heart vanished without a trace. Subconsciously, she shifted slightly to dodge Li Qingshen’s hand and called out in a soft tone, "Teacher."
Li Qingshen felt her resistance and slightly lowered his eyelids, hiding the dimness in his eyes, and remained silent.
Li Qingshen led Ling Momo to the couch in the corner, gestured for her to sit down, then turned sideways and called over a waiter. He whispered something in the waiter’s ear, and the waiter nodded before leaving. After a while, the waiter brought over a porcelain pot and placed it on the table, "Mr. Li, your tea."
Li Qingshen sat beside Ling Momo, gave a slight nod, then picked up the porcelain pot, poured a cup of hot tea, and placed it in front of Ling Momo, "If you don’t want to drink alcohol, don’t."
Ling Momo looked at the hot tea in front of her, and her heart instinctively warmed, but then, she coldly chuckled to herself, reminding herself that his actions were actually for himself; to her, she was just a tool to perfect his image. She didn’t need to think he genuinely cared about her.
Suddenly, Ling Momo slightly lowered her head, her voice polite but lacking the usual playful charm, "It’s just basic socializing."
Li Qingshen realized her estrangement was because of what he had said that day, and perhaps he was angry... There was an inexplicable sense of loss in his heart.
