After resolving the unexpected encounter in the underground passage, we escorted Theodore’s group back to Happy House.

As we walked, we came across two paths—Route 2 and Route 1. Aurora turned to me and asked,

“Where do these paths lead?”

“They lead to different areas. Oh, by the way, did you come across any other paths while traveling from the capital to here?”

Before Aurora could respond, Theodore, walking beside her, answered instead,

“There were plenty of paths. Some were blocked, others led who knows where. The passageways were so maze-like that meeting you here feels like an extraordinary coincidence.”

Plenty of paths? Just how far do these underground passages extend?

Note to self:

1 leads to Brunel, 3 to the spring, 6 to Hague, and 8 to Notium.

I recalled the Happy House blueprint and the note on the back indicating that “8 Notium” indeed connected to the capital.

“So, where exactly does this passage lead in the capital?” I asked.
