The Outer God Needs Warmth

On the way home.

I came out late after talking to Kanna, and there were cars waiting to pick up students from the main gate to the building entrance.

I can see students leaving the building and getting on cars. Some of them stop a few buildings after leaving the main gate.

It seems like it’s a long enough distance to walk, but if you can’t walk in this area, it’s human nature not to walk.

I push aside the thought that I’ll get stabbed and just keep going down the road.

I see many students entering the road on the right near the main gate. Last year, most of them were commoners or poor nobles, but now many noble students enter the dormitory.

I guess they’re thinking about safety.

The large-scale riots are over, but it’s not completely safe yet. No. It would be more correct to say that we can’t go back to the same times as before.

I leave the main gate, turn left, and walk along the high wall. There is a railroad where the fence ends, and I see a face that cycles around every three days. It must be a police officer or a soldier.

I waved briefly and they waved back.

I greeted them every day, and now they greeted me happily.

There are few ways to win favor as cheaply and easily as greeting someone.
