Chapter 215: Lost Dream (10)
After finishing the conversation with Kanna, I went ◈ Nоvеlіgһт ◈ (Continue reading) outside.
Then, I stood still again, like an exhibition doll.
Now that I think about it, Solindigus and Kanna are in the year right after mine. Polaris and I are in the same year. If Aurora comes to the Royal Academy next year, she’ll technically be in her second year based on age, but I wonder which year she’ll actually be placed in.
It’s right after the New Year when the curse from Maleficent caused an eternal sleep that couldn’t be awoken. I’ll remain asleep for over half a year until I wake up. I’ve accumulated a lot of study material during that time, but I’m already learning that here in the palace.
Solindigus suggested that he should avoid going to the Royal Academy, where there are men, and just get educated at the palace instead, but Hipion firmly refused.
Since that happened in front of Aurora, I think he probably considers it all an act.
If he had any real thoughts, he wouldn’t have said that in front of Aurora.
Why did I suddenly start observing the royals? Well, it’s because the sight of a group of young children gathered caught my attention.
Of course, these children are the kind who would be attending the Royal Academy. They’re of high school age, but their actual position is equivalent to university students.
In this world, there’s still no compulsory education. Most children under 10 leave home to work, and by the time they’re 15, they have children of their own.
The concept of child abuse doesn’t exist. While there is a concept of caring for children based on classical morals, it doesn’t apply to every child.
In some rural areas, if a child becomes an orphan, they say they don’t want them to be unhappy, so they kill them. Actually, it’s the opposite. If the child belongs to a family with some wealth and has good relationships with the surrounding community, the neighbors will kill them for them.
